Paris

Dear Agony Aunt

I’m in love with a girl and want to marry her! Her parents really like me and would be happy to have me in their family. The only problem is that I’m not sure if she likes me enough to marry. How can I convince her that I am the one for her?

Comments

  1. If you have to CONVINCE someone to like you, chances are they never will like you. Maybe she's just not the girl for you.

Introduction

I am Paris, a young nobleman, in love with Lord Capulet’s daughter, Juliet. I am desperate to marry her, but her father thinks I should wait a while and try and woo her first. He invites me to his party where Juliet will be. Soon after the party Juliet’s cousin gets killed. She goes into mourning for him and so becomes difficult to woo. I talk to Lord Capulet and he agrees to persuade her to marry me, and even sooner than I imagined. On the morning of the wedding I come to the Capulet house where I am horrified to find out that Juliet is dead. I am distraught and go to visit her grave to put down flowers for her. I am confronted by the Montague boy, Romeo, who I believe is to blame for Juliet’s death. He killed Tybalt and therefore caused her mortal grief. I want to take revenge on Romeo for what he has done.
